Accident: 5 ml. N of Lac des Rapides, QC, 08-Sep-1981: During a flight to take freight to a lake, the pilot was flying at 400 feet under a thin layer of cloud with visibility of approximately 4 miles. As the weather conditions deteriorated he decided to climb above the cloud layer but as he did so the tip of the left wing hit the top of a tree. The pilot was able to keep control of the aircraft and was able to return to his base. The following inspection revealed significant damage to the wing tip.
