CF-MPS Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Air Division, Ottawa, ON. Delivered 16-Jul-1957 and operated until 1978, when reported as traded back to De Havilland Canada for a Turbo Beaver in 1979.

News Article, 1957: “A new DHC-2 Beaver (CF-MPS) is the latest aircraft of “Air” Division. To be fitted with floats or retractable wheel-skis in season, this plane will be based at Fort Smith, NT. to complement the existing Norseman aircraft there. Crew will be Sgt. Gordon A. Fallis, formerly spare captain, and Spl. Cst. Stan Kubin, formerly stationed at Prince Albert, SK. This aircraft brings to seven the number of de Havilland Beavers in “Air” Division. It will make use of the existing hangar and workshop owned by the Force at Fort Smith.” RCMP Quarterly: -Volume 23, No. 7, Page 158 (October, 1957).

Incident: Alcan Highway, AB. 13-Oct-1993. Pilot was completing circuits at a private airstrip and while flying at low altitude hit powerlines. Aircraft returned to Whitehorse for a safe landing. Damage limited to a nick in the propeller. TSB report 1993W0305.
