Airworthiness Date: 03-Jun-1983. Category – Normal.

Accident: McGrath AK. 14-Jan-1985. Whilst conducting a non-scheduled freight trip to a mining camp strip in this ski equipped aircraft, the pilot reported that the elevator and rudder controls stuck on roll out. Investigation revealed that the tail section of the aircraft had collapsed after hitting the top of a small tree. No injury although aircraft substantially damaged. NTSB report.ANC85LA044
