Certificate of Airworthiness # 3060 & Certificate of Registration # 7941 issued 14-May-1949.

• CF-DTC & C-FDTC Government of Canada, Department of Transport. Ottawa, ON. Delivered 31-Mar-1949. Based Montréal, QC. Tail No: 952 at Montréal then 503. Regn format changed prior to 30-Jun-1974. On CCAR for May-1981.

Accident: Three ml NW of Knob Lake, QC. 17 & 18-Aug-1957. On the 17-Aug-1957 while taxiing for take off the aircraft hit a rock and damaged No’s 2, 3 & 5 compartments of the starboard float. The aircraft was beached and repairs were made. On the next day, the 18-Aug-1957 the aircraft took off again and on landing at Squaw Lake the aircraft swung to the right and sank. Substantial damage was then result. No injuries reported. Pilot J.C.H. Delisle.

Accident: Rivière Aux Tonneres, QC. 50°21’N 64°50’W. 23-Jul-1963. On amphibious floats, during the landing roll on apparently unsuitable surface, the nose wheels dug into sand and the aircraft nosed over. Two DoT employees on board uninjured. Substantial damage to the aircraft. See photos below.

Accident: Ma Baie Seaplane Base, 5ml NE of Dorval, QC. Lat 45.32N, Lon 73.44W. 20-May-1976. The aircraft was on a flight test after the landing system of the amphibious floats had been serviced. After completing several landings and take offs and cycling the undercarriage the pilot completed a full stop. The pilot took off again testing the undercarriage but it seems that the left rear wheels did not re tract and on landing the aircraft ground- looped and overturned. No injury recorded but substantial damage to the aircraft.

Service Difficulty Report: 13-Aug-2012: Front fuel tank developed an undetected leak via a small crack in the lower corner near a welded repair. Fuel was ignited possibly via the exhaust intensifier during engine start-up resulting in a fire under the floor in the forward fuel tank bay. Recommend bladders be installed in all fuel tanks unless new.
