Accident: Chapleau River, Chapleau, ON. Lat 47.51N Long 83.24W. 25-May-1968. The accident occurred when the aircraft settled back on the water following initial lift off. At this point the water bomber doors were seen to be open. The aircraft overturned and sank in the river. The pilot and two passengers escaped with minor injuries. One passenger who was sitting in the front seat failed to escape and drowned.
