USAF History

51-16567 was made available on 29-Sep-1952 and accepted on 03-Oct-1952 by the 6600th Air Depot AMO (Air Material Overseas Unit), at Downsview, ON., after which it was delivered to the Tactical Air Command at Sewart AFB, TN and the 5th Liaison Squadron on 09-Oct-1952 where it remained until 05-Feb-1953 after which it moved to the 316th Medium Troop Carrier (TCM) Group at Burlington AFB., VT., until 12-Mar 1953. It then returned to Sewart AFB., and the 5th Liaison, but for just a matter of days until 20-Mar when it returned to Burlington and to the 316th Medium Troop Carrier Group.

Minneapolis - St Paul Air Force Base, MN., was the next location and an assignment to the Air Defence Command, where it was attached to the 514th Air Defence Group between 07-Apr-1954 and 28-May-1954. From here it moved to Grandview AFB., MO., to join the 4676th Air Defence Group between 28-May-1954 and 15-May-1955. After this it passed to Olmstead AFB and the Middletown Air Repair Depot until 10-Jun-1955 after which it passed to the US Army. Its Army history is currently unknown.
