55-4582 US Arm #1620. L-20 No. 621. Command A-9. Delivered Jul-1956. Built as L-20A. Re- designated U-6A in 1962.

S-6 On loan under Military Defence Assistance Programme to Koninklijke Luchtmacht  / Royal Netherlands Air Force. Delivered on board S.S. American Hunter. 07-Dec-1956.

S-6 334 Transport Squadron, Valkenburg AFB., later Ypenburg AFB.

Incident: 26-Jul-1962. Involved in “near miss” incident with Pan-Am Boeing 707, N726PA at 5,000 ft. Boeing pilot with 70 passengers on board corrected sharply, resulting in 14 injuries. Aircraft passed within 90 metres of each other. S-6 made emergency landing at Teuge.

S-6 300 Squadron / GpLV at Deelen AFB., .,., from 07-Oct-1966. Later Gilze-Rijen AFB., wfu., and struck off charge 01-Sep-1974.

S-6 M.T.S voor Luchtvaart en Electronica (Technical Engineering School for Aviation & Electronics), Anthony Fokker School, The Hague, Netherlands.

Note: Removed in 1992 possibly to be made airworthy. Later reported as due to move to Soesterberg –Kamp Zeist (An Army Camp) for temporary storage prior to display in museum.

Noted: On Display at Eindhoven AFB.,  at their Open Day on 02-Jul-1993. Flown in or transported?
