53-7937 US Army #1458. L-20 No: 459. Command A-4. Delivered 19-Jan-1955. Built as L-20A and re-designated U-6A in 1962.

53-7937 Processed through SABCA on IRAN program 25-Apr-1958.

53-7937 Served with 582nd Transportation Company, Brienne-le-Château, France and later Coleman Barracks, Mannheim, Germany.

Accident: Tau (V-05), South Vietnam, on 26-Jul-1969. Believed to have been written off when N9521Z Beech C-45G of Air America collided with US Army Grumman OV-1 Mohawk 61-2712 and the Beaver during its landing roll causing serious injuries to the pilot, and to 3 American and 1 Vietnamese passenger; one person on the ground received minor injuries; The C-45 received extensive damage and was considered as “not repairable” and destroyed. The Beaver was presumably written off also.
