It was next assigned to the Air Material Command and passed to the Sacramento Air Depot at McLellan AFB., CA., for unknown reasons for just five days and then returned to the Continental Air Command but now with the Fourth Air Force at Beale AFB., CA. Whilst here it suffered a category 2 (minor) damage following a forced landing after running out of fuel 8 miles N of Robbins AFB., CA., on 15-Feb-1954. It remained until 05-Apr-1956 after which a re-assignment saw it join the Training Command and it was posted to Williams AFB., AZ., where it was attached to the 3525th Combat Crew Training Wing. Following a re-organisation in Jun-1958 the unit was re-assigned to the Tactical Air command and was re designated as the 4530th Combat Crew Training Wing and as such it remained until 12-May-1960.

It now moved to Randolph AFB with the Air Training Command and was attached to the 3511st Flying Training Group until 31-Jul-1962 when it moved over to the Maintenance Support Group,

It later passed to the 6th Strategic Aerospace Wing at Walker AFB., on an unknown date and then moved to MASDC, Davis Monthan AFB., AZ., where it was stored from 23-Mar-1965 until 27-Sep-1965 and then at the Sacramento Air Material Area at McClellan AFB., until 18-Oct-1965 when it was struck of charge and passed to the Military Aid Program and eventually on to the South Vietnamese Air Force possibly about Jul 1966.
