• 57-6140 US Army # 1797. L-20 No. 798. Command A13. Delivered 07-May-1958. Built as L-20A and re-designated U-6A in 1962. Later converted to RU-6A.

• 76140/ML Transferred to South Vietnam Air Force. Operated with the 3rd RRU (Radio Research Unit) at Da Nang. Also coded "DX".

Note: Bob Hagge wrote: 57-6140 / ML was one of three RU-6A's that the U.S. gave to the South Vietnamese prior to 1966. These three had the earlier style airborne direction finding equipment (with R-390 radios) instead of the newer AN/ARD-15 system that the U.S. used in their RU-6A's.

Note: Located in crates in DFDO yard in Bankok, Thailand. Purchased by Roger Forgues for $5.000. 28-May-1976.

Note: Another report quotes “Sold at Department of Defence auction Apr-1974 as item #31, and located at U-Tapao, Royal Thai Naval Air Base, Thailand”, with a serial quoted as 1727 but this is possibly a misread for the US military acquisition serial. 1797
