Accident: Approx 150 ml NE of Weston Lake, YT at Virginia Falls, NT. South of South Nahanni River at 61 37N, 125 42W. 14-Jan-1962. During take off the aircraft collided with a marked cable suspended across the river which tore off the vertical stabiliser and rudder causing the aircraft to crash Major damage to right wing, undercarriage, and empennage. No injuries recorded.
