The engine failed and the aircraft was turned to the left to carry out a forced landing on the lake. Due to the low altitude and airspeed, partial control was lost and the aircraft contacted the snow surface heavily Unknown, substantial damage to the aircraft and a passenger suffered minor injuries. The engine failed because of fuel starvation, caused by a sheared shaft in the fuel pump.
