Accident: Metakatla, AK, 30-Jan-1986. Wind was 070 degrees at 20 Kt. With 6-12 inch swells. N127WA was positioned at north side of dock for departure toward east. N1018H was holding at east side of dock. Deck hand cast off N127WA before pilot started engine; aircraft began to drift back into dock. Pilot started engine, and attempted to manoeuvre away from dock, but dock proximity prohibited use of sufficient power to establish steerageway under existing weather conditions. N127WA drifted around northeast corner of dock and into N1018H. N127WA sustained substantial damage and pilot shut down eng. N1018H sustained minor damage, pilot taxied clear. N127WA drifted back into the east side of the dock, and sustained further damage from wind and wave action. Pilot and four passengers uninjured. NTSB report SEA86LA049B.

N1018H Foster Goodrich, dba Taquan Air Service, Ketchikan, AK. Dates currently unknown but circa Jan 1987.

Accident: Shoal Cove, AK. 08-Jan-1987. Aircraft was step taxiing to dock and left wing contacted a recently erected unmarked cable attached to an A Frame stretched across the path of the aircraft. The cable had been installed the day before and not marked. The aircraft suffered substantial damage. Pilot and passenger uninjured. NTSB report SEA87LA044.

Accident: Lancaster Cove Nr Ketchikan. AK, 29-May-1990. Following a flight from Dora Bay, Alaska, because of turbulent weather conditions, pilot landed closer to shore of lake than intended. During taxi to dock in a cove the aircraft drifted to the left where the wing came into contact with trees on the shore opposite the dock. NTSB report SEA90LA089
