52-6061 USAF #1206. L-20 No: 207. Command No AF-3. Delivered 01-Nov-1952. Built as L-20A and re-designated U-6A in 1962.

52-6061 was made available on 22-Oct-1952 and accepted on 27-Oct-1952 by the 6600th Air Depot AMO (Air Material Overseas Unit), at Downsview, ON., after which it was delivered to the Tactical Air Command at Greenville/Donaldson AFB., and the 7th Liaison Squadron on 03-Nov-1952 where it stayed until 26-Jun-1953. From here it was passed to the Military Air Transport Command at Andrews AFB., and the 1401st Air Base Wing until 22-Dec-1953. It now went back to the 7th Liaison Squadron at Greenville, remaining until 13-Jun-1954.

From here it passed to the Newark point of embarkation on 15-Dec-1952 with the 2847th Transportation Control Depot (TPC) Wing prior to transportation to Europe. It was assigned to the Air Force Europe and arrived at Nouasseur, Morocco, where it was attached to the 7280th Maintenance Group and then the 7221th Support Squadron at Rabat on 30-Nov-1954. On the 20-Sep-1955 it went to the Aermacchi facility at Vergiate in Northern Italy for maintenance before returning to Rabat some eight months later. The Support Squadron was re designated as the 7221th Air Base Squadron on 01-Aug-1957. Its military life was terminated in an accident on 15 mi. E of Meknes, French Morocco, 06-Feb-1958. Details are unknown apart from the fact that four persons on board were killed.
