58-2070 US Army # 1950. L-20 No. 951. Command A-16. Delivered 08-Dec-1959. Built as L-20A and re-designated U-6A in 1962.

CF-TEB La Sarre Air Service Ltd., La Sarre QC. Regd Aug-1972. On CCAR at May-1981.

Accident: Near Brandon, QC. 17-Jul-1978. While passing through 300ft the engine stopped through lack of fuel. The pilot changed to the reserve tank that normally contained 16 gallons and tried to restart the engine. However he had neither sufficient time or altitude to complete the operation. Crashed onto the slope of a wooded hill. No serious injuries.. It was found that although the fuel guage showed 8 gallons in the tank it was almost empty. No serious injury reported.

Accident: Atwater Lac, QC. Lat 46.58 Long 78.58W. 08-Jan-1988. The Beaver on skis, had been chartered to transport three government biologists who were conducting a count of moose in the area. To facilitate this task, the pilot quartered the area in asystematic way at 300 feet above ground. The aircraft was in cruise for 35 minutes when the engine (Pratt & Whitney R985) suddenly suffered a loss of power. During a pronounced shift to the right at thais low level , the pilot turned towards a frozen lake, and the aircraft struck trees and crashed, some 1400 feet before the lake was reached. None of the four occupants was injured, but the aircraft was heavily damaged. The cause of the power loss was not traced.
