Agricultural Field Day, Walcha, N.S.W. …
A Beaver aircraft, owned by Aerial Agriculture of Bankstown was used in the demonstration. This is the first aircraft of this type in Australia to be especially fitted for agricultural work, although two more are on order. A mechanical one ton loader picked up from the bulk super phosphate , dumped and discharged into the hopper of the aircraft. The Beaver then flew approximately two miles and spread the load, returned to reload and then repeated the process. In this way, twelve tons of super phosphate was distributed in one hour and ten minutes.”
